Airways Municipal Golf Course
Airways is a level course with tight fairways, guarded by trees and small flat greens. Play 18 holes of golf and have a bite to eat at this public course located next to Fresno Yosemite International Airport. Senior rates available. 1 Airways Blvd., Fresno, (559) 291-6254.

Brighton Crest Golf & Country Club
Enjoy breathtaking views of the San Joaquin Valley while playing on this course designed by Johnny Miller. The course features plenty of native oaks and creeks to keep the golfers honest off the tee. Fig Garden Golf Club
Enjoy this scenic 18-hole course that’s easy to play, but hard to par. This Nick Lombardo designed course has 2 lakes and small fast greens, and fairways with lots of mature trees. The river runs along the left side of the 16th hole which is a 465-yard par 4. Semi-Private course opened in 1958. Tournaments welcome. 7700 N. Van Ness Blvd., Fresno, (559) 439-2928.

Fresno West Golf Course
Fresno West is a long flat 18-hole golf course about 20 miles west of Fresno, near the city of Kerman. Although there are plenty of trees and some rough, the fairways are spacious and the greens large. The challenge from Fresno West comes from wind and water. The water comes into play both off the tee and around the greens. Designed by Bob Baldock and opened in 1966. 23986 W. Whitesbridge Road, Kerman, (559) 846-8665.

Lonesome Dove Golf Course
This course is highlighted by all the palm trees lining the fairways and surrounding the greens. In addition, water hazards, in the form of ponds, come into play on five holes. The terrain varies between hilly and flat. The signature hole is #8 because of the two ponds that provide a scenic view from off the tee box. Riverside Golf Course
In a picturesque setting along the San Joaquin River, this course features expansive tree-lined fairways stretching over gently rolling terrain. A William P. Bell design, Riverside Golf Course opened in 1939. Riverside Golf Course’s scenic and convenient location off Highway 99 makes it a "must play" for the visiting golfer. 7672 N. Selma Valley Golf Club
This relatively flat course is tree lined with many doglegs. There are three lakes that come into play on five holes. The greens are medium to small in size. The signature hole is #15, requiring your shot over a lake that guards the green. 12389 E. Rose Ave, Selma, (559) 896-2424.

Sherwood Forest Golf Club
This family owned golf course is located on 105 scenic acres just 20 minutes east of Fresno in Sanger. Since 1968, golfers have enjoyed playing along the banks of the Kings River through the beautiful grove of mature Oaks and Sycamores. The Hansen family has taken pride in developing Sherwood Forest into a "destination" public golf course with a country club atmosphere.
